Like many other companies, Honeywell doesn’t just sell heater filters. Honeywell has been in business for over 125 years, and air filter products are only a small fraction of the amazing things this company has been able to produce for the last century.

Honeywell can trace its history back to 1885 in Minneapolis as dedicated inventor Albert Butz patented the furnace regulator and alarm. Butz soon after created his notable design called the “damper flapper”, one of the first automatic furnace systems. Many products created by Honeywell use this closed loop system. A decade later, in Indiana, inventor Mark Honeywell was perfecting his heat generator design. He later created the Honeywell Regulator Co. and merged with the company that bought the rights to Butz’s  designs. The company acquired other businesses in the area and built a powerhouse in the heating and cooling industry. Over the next half a century, Honeywell has built an empire that stretches all around the world.

Honeywell furnace filters are of top quality, considering the amount money the company can spend on product research and improvement. Their electrostatic air filter rivals that of their competitors, and provides true relief for those with allergies. Their MERV 12 furnace filter has incredibly great reviews and helps keep the air free of dust and debris that agitates the respiratory system.

Customer feedback on Honeywell filters is overwhelmingly positive. Most Honeywell products receive at least a 4 star rating on, and a good number of products receive a 5 star rating. For example, the MERV 11 furnace filter received comments such as, “Not much to say about the product, Honeywell is the best so no need to go on and on about that.” Using a Honeywell furnace filter actually pulls the dust particles from the air, rather than re-circulating them around the room. Coughing, sneezing and congestion is no longer a concern if you purchase a Honeywell filter with a high MERV rating.

Honeywell prides itself in developing the best quality air filtration products on the market. The corresponding MERV rating on their products is a strong indicator of what effect the filter will have on the air quality in your home or office. The Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value was developed in 1987 by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers to measure the effectiveness of air filters. The higher the rating, the more effective the air filtration product.
